About Interlude Band

Julian Lugo grew up in Chicago surrounded by a musical family that included his father, who was a popular Latin percussionist and vocalist from Puerto Rico, and a brother who played guitar with a number of great Chicago area bands. He began singing and playing the trombone in high school jazz and concert bands. By the age of 17, Julian was performing with local R&B and Latin bands in venues all over Illinois.

After years of experience playing for both public and private events Julian formed and fronted his own group called “Milestone”. Always eager to improve his musical abilities, he began to develop his keyboard and vocal skills under renowned Chicago jazz musician and piano teacher Skip Green. It was during that time the group “Interlude” was formed.

Since then, Julian and Interlude have entertained crowds for private and corporate events at Chicago venues such as The House of Blues, The Field Museum, The Signature Room in the John Hancock building, The Shedd Aquarium, The Chicago Cultural Center, The Odyssey at Navy Pier, and a number of other prestigious venues in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas
